We are working with a fantastic school in Oxford that is currently seeking a Teacher Assistant to join them ASAP on a full-time basis, helping to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. The school supports young people aged 16–19 with mild learning disabilities and is committed to ensuring all students have the opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.
As a Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support students in reaching their full potential and building brighter futures.
Key Information – Teacher Assistant:
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Full-time, 08:30–15:00 (Term-time only)
* Pay: £85–£100 per day (dependent on experience)
* Location: Oxford
A Teacher Assistant’s Day May Include:
* Supporting students who need extra help with their coursework
* Facilitating a positive and engaging learning environment
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom displays
* Helping maintain a tidy and organised classroom space
* Encouraging students to stay motivated and do their best
* Helping manage classroom behaviour calmly and effectively
* Supporting students in building literacy and communication skills
This Role is perfect for Someone Who:
* Has strong communication skills and can explain concepts clearly
* Is calm, patient, and supportive, particularly with students who may have social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs
* Works well as part of a team alongside teachers and school staff
* Is adaptable and flexible in different classroom situations
* Holds at least a Grade C/Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English
* Has previous experience as a Teacher Assistant – Preferred but not essential
