Academics are seeking a Science Teacher to join an "Outstanding" small, independent SEN school in the Waterside area of Southampton. They are looking to appoint for a September start on a full-time, temp to perm contract. The school caters for pupils with complex needs such as social, emotional and mental health needs and autism.
The school was last inspected in September 2017 and judged Outstanding in all areas with Ofsted praising the compassionate trustees, headteacher and deputy headteachers who ensure that meeting the pupils’ varied and complex needs is at the heart of the school’s work.
They are looking for a qualified Science Teacher who is able to deliver the subject across the school. The classes sizes are small with a maximum of 4 pupils to each class. This is due to the nature of the pupils needs. Due to this, the role is ideally suited to someone with a background of working with pupils with SEN, in a similar setting.
Although the role is challenging, it is extremely rewarding and you will be joining a warm and nurturing school who provide great opportunities for the future, for the pupils in their care.
If you are a qualified Science Teacher with recent UK teaching experience, please apply using the link provided making sure you submit a copy of your updated CV.
You will be required to undertake a DBS and ideally be able to show two recent good or outstanding observations.
