After great success across most of England and Wales, Academics branched out into Berkshire, Swindon and Oxfordshire and has now opened the Swindon office to ensure we are providing a thorough and personal service to our candidates and clients in Swindon and the surrounding areas. Tom joined Academics Reading after working as a Primary School Teacher for 5 years. Tom has a strong understanding of the impact teachers and teaching assistants can have on children due to his own experience in the classroom. Tom is committed to working alongside exceptional teachers, teaching assistants and SEN specialists and ensuring that they succeed in their careers. Outside of the office, Tom will be found on the golf course, walking his dog, or watching his beloved Tottenham Hotspur.
Shannon King
Shannon joined Academics Swindon after earning a degree in Sport and Childhood & Youth Studies. She has previous experience working in education, which gives her a solid understanding of the needs of mainstream primary schools. Shannon specialises in recruiting passionate teaching assistants and teachers, helping schools find the right people to support children’s learning and development.
