Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' specialist school in the Lyndhurst area, Hampshire who are looking for an empathetic Science Teacher to join them on a full-time contract, starting ASAP.
The school provides education to pupils aged between 5-19 years who have significant emotional, social and mental health needs and display challenging behaviours. They provides a fully integrated and highly effective approach to education which is delivered on a 1:1 and small group basis with a high staff to pupil ratio. They offer individually tailored programmes to encourage social development, confidence and overall well-being. Being in such a nurturing and pupil focused environment gives them the best opportunity to reach their full potential.
The suitable Science teacher will be confident in planning and delivering Science up to KS4 and ideally have experience of working with children with SEN/SEMH. Although this is desirable, it is not essential. If you have a passion for working with children with additional needs this is the role for you.
