Meet the Teaching Agency in Liverpool and Wirral
Our Academics teaching agency in Liverpool & Wirral team is lucky enough to have two teacher recruitment offices; one in the heart of Liverpool and the other in Hooton, ensuring that they can cover the Merseyside region in the most effective manner. They work with a whole host of schools from the Wirral up to Sefton and Knowsley. They are partnered very closely with our Warrington teaching agency team, to ensure they have best selection of teachers and support staff possible. They currently specialise in covering both the Primary and Secondary sectors, supplying Teachers, Teaching Assistants and other Support Staff into both daily supply teaching, long term supply and also permanent teaching jobs and support roles.
Laura Evans
I joined the Academics Wirral team in March 2023 and is our Special Educational Needs Consultant; recruiting the best supply teachers, teaching assistants, and education staff for local SEN schools and provisions.
Before joining Academics, I worked in mainstream and SEN education for almost 17 years and I am now able to use this experience to help schools support children with additional needs across the area. I am very passionate about alternative and SEN education having first-hand experience of what a challenging sector it can be and relishes the opportunity to ensure that our schools and supply staff are supported to be the best they can be.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and fur-baby Archie. I like being outdoors as much as possible – either going for a long walk or spending time in the garden. When I get the chance, I enjoy spending my time on the water either sailing, kayaking, or rowing.
Chloe Grant
Hi! I’m Chloe!
I’ve been working with Secondary schools in the Wirral area since January 2023 and then started working with the Secondary schools in Chester and Warrington a year after in January 2024!
Before I was in recruitment I was a chef in some of the best restaurants in Chester. I didn’t expect to fall into recruitment but I’m so happy that I did because I’m now obsessed with my job!
I have built some amazing relationships with my schools and supply staff members based on an honest and open approach. It also helps that I have a pretty good sense of humour :) If you are a teacher or teaching assistant looking for a new challenge in the Chester, Ellesmere Port, Merseyside, or Warrington area I’d love to hear from you! If you are a school or trust that require supply support I’d love an opportunity to speak with you.
In my spare time I like to hike, kayak, swim and generally be outdoors! Oh and of course I still love cooking and eating!
Callum Manley
Callum has been part of the Academics Wirral & Liverpool team since April 2024, and he says the time has absolutely flown by!
He is the Candidate Resourcer at the Academics Wirral & Liverpool office, and is responsible for taking candidates through our registration process and helping them every step of the way. Callum helps candidates onboard with Academics and really gets to understand what they’re looking for and how we can help them find their perfect role.
In his spare time Callum likes to keep active with the gym and playing sports like football. Spending time with family and friends as much as possible is what keeps him motivated.
Carl Mansell-Griffiths
Carl joined the team at Academics Wirral in 2025 and has been loving working with the Primary Schools and Nurseries across the Wirral, Chester and Ellesmere Port areas ever since. He says it’s an absolute pleasure to work with fantastic Teachers, Teaching Assistants and education staff, and amazing schools across the region. If you’re a school or trust that wants to find your next amazing colleague, then give Carl a call, he’d be happy to chat.
Before Academics, Carl worked at a whole range of universities across the UK, supporting students to get into the next steps of their educational journey, leading teams to support schools across the UK to get their students into fabulous Higher Education Institutions, providing talks, workshops, events and leading on recruitment strategy and marketing. He’s passionate about education and seeing schools achieving the best for their students.
Outside of work Carl loves a good project, particularly DIY; travel – whether that’s city breaks around Europe or a lovely relaxing beach holiday; painting; and music – writing, listening and playing as a guitarist and singer.
Jack Shea
Jack is a Senior Secondary Consultant for Academics across the Wirral, Cheshire West and Merseyside area. He joined Academics in August 2025, and now works with fantastic schools finding roles for Teachers, TA’s, Tutors and General Cover.
Before joining Academics, Jack worked for an education recruitment consultancy in Manchester for almost 7 years, providing long-term & permanent Teachers and Graduate Teaching Support for Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Alternative Provisions and Sixth Form Colleges across the West & East Midlands. Working across the different sectors gave him vital insight into the specific needs of both schools and students, and he was fortunate to work with some outstanding candidates committed to providing the very best academic, social and emotional support to children.
Outside of work Jack enjoys spending time with friends and family, and he’s also a massive Manchester United fan and goes to games as much as possible.
