The London and the Home Counties primary teaching agency team work with client schools throughout London and the Home Counties. Our primary teaching agency in London and the home Counties specialise in permanent and fixed term contract recruitment in all primary teaching jobs from Cover Supervisors through to Headteachers. As with all the teams and office throughout Academics, they work strictly to DFE guidelines and work closely to the requirements of their client schools to produce the best possible field of applicants every time.

Lee Vincent Lee Vincent

Lee has worked in Education Recruitment since 1999, and has been with Academics since 2004. He is the Primary Manager for South East London and recruits primary teachers and support staff for Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich, Bexley, Bromley and Croydon. Lee takes pride in his work and has a transparent and honest approach to both clients and candidates. Outside of teaching recruitment, Lee spends most of his time with his partner and their two children. He does however make time to have the odd beer, and go to the Emirates Stadium to follow Arsenal (for his sins).

I joined Academics in March 2012 and I manage the Primary team that work with schools across the West London boroughs. I recruit for Education staff for Primary schools in Wandsworth, Lambeth, Westminster and Richmond.

I have three children and have experienced first-hand, the fantastic education provided by our Primary schools here in London. My aim is to provide teachers and education staff that are passionate, enthusiastic and ready to put in the hard work to ensure children get the best start possible to their education. Now my children are a little bit older, in my spare time, I am training to become a Yoga teacher.

I joined Academics in January 2018 and have six years’ experience working as a Recruitment Consultant in the Education sector. I work with a range of Primary schools in West London supplying Teachers and support staff in Brent, Barnet, Harrow and Kensington & Chelsea. I pride myself on going the extra mile to understand my clients and candidates requirements. I match great people with fantastic schools, in short term , long term and permanent positions. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my family and friends.

Monique Smith-Samuel Monique Smith-Samuel

I joined Academics in March 2018 after 7 years in retail, where I gained skills in communication and negotiation, with the last 2 years spent in a managerial position.

I work on the North London Primary desk at Academics, supplying Primary Schools in the Camden, Islington and Enfield boroughs with daily supply, long term supply, permanent primary teachers & school support staff.

From visiting many schools, I understand your requirements through listening, learning and delivering the right candidates to your school. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, reading books and spending time with my family.

Alom Ahmed Alom Ahmed

I joined Academics in November 2018 with over 10 years’ experience working within the Education Sector. During this time I have built up a great understanding of the market I work in and believe the expertise I have accumulated over the years will enable me to understand each one of my schools and there needs and to work closely in finding my teachers and teaching assistants the right role.

I work with Primary schools in Hounslow, Ealing and Hillingdon at Academics, supplying these schools with daily supply, long term supply, permanent primary teachers & school support staff.

In my spare time I enjoy playing football although with my advancing age it is proving to become more difficult. I am a big comic book fan and love anything Marvel related. I enjoy spending time with my wife and my 2 sons, one attends nursery and the other is in Year 2.

Isabella Misiewicz Isabella Misiewicz

Hi I am Isabella Misiewicz, I am the consultant who covers the Kingston, Sutton and Merton boroughs of London. I joined Academics February 2019 and love working here.

Before joining Academics, I was a student at Anglia Ruskin University and I studied English Literature and Writing. I have a background in teaching primary school back in my home country of Zimbabwe. I moved to the UK 5 years ago after living my entire life in Zimbabwe. I definitely miss the warmth and the sunshine. I am a very active person and am constantly on the move, I enjoy dancing, ice skating, cannoning and traveling.

Hamzah Miah Hamzah Miah

Hamzah joined Academics in November 2020 as a Resourcer for the Primary West team and is really enjoying being part of the team. Hamzah goes above and beyond for candidates, by taking time to get to know the teachers and support staff he works with, and listening to what they are looking for. In his spare time, Hamzah enjoys playing football and going to gym. He also spends a lot time with his family and loves taking care of his youngest brother who has Autism.

Conor Harrington Conor Harrington

Conor is one of our primary managers focusing on east London. He joined us in 2015 having previously spent 2 years at an educational tech company providing tailored maths tutoring to primary aged students. Now Conor dedicates his time to finding talented teachers and support staff for East London primary schools. Starting off as a consultant Conor worked his way up to a team leader and now a manager role mentoring and supporting his team along the way. (When they can grasp his Irish accent that is) When Conor isn’t at work he can be found playing football (soccer), Gaelic Football and is also a keen golfer having won the Academics golf competition 4 years in a row. He also travelled all the way to Japan in 2019 to see Ireland get knocked out of the rugby world cup by New Zealand the day he arrived.

Yasmin Boffa Yasmin Boffa

Yasmin is a Principal Consultant on the Primary Team and works with primary schools in East London. Yasmin joined Academics in April 2016 as Resourcer and Compliance Administrator which gave her an excellent rounded knowledge of what to look for in suitable teachers, senior leaders and support staff. Yasmin progressed to a consultant in October 2017 and has since looked after schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Havering & Essex. Being originally from East London, and ‘Awesomestow’ as she likes to refer to it as, Yasmin thoroughly enjoys finding suitable staff for local schools so that she can give back to the community in which she grew up in. Prior to joining Academics, Yasmin worked for the London Borough of Waltham Forest as a qualified Careers Adviser, working with Secondary Schools, Colleges and Job Centres. Yasmin is a huge family girl at heart and enjoys walking her dogs Woody, Buzz and Dolly. Despite being a young adult, Yasmin is often described by her team as being ‘an old head on young shoulders’ and it wouldn’t surprise us if she is a secret knitting fan sat on her rocking chair on the weekends!

Andrew Corriette Andrew Corriette

Andrew is the primary consultant for Hackney and Haringey with Academics London. Andrew joined Academics in 2016, progressing through a few roles within the company before joining the primary east team in 2019. During his childhood Andrew went to a local 2 form entry primary school in Newham, where he went on to sit as the Chair of Governors for a number of years. Public education is very important to him, not only due to his work as a Chair of Governors, but as a son of a primary teacher and brother to a secondary teacher, he has been able to see the expectations and pressures that are currently on teachers and schools, and how to deliver that to schools. Andrew is best known in the office for his strong tie and braces combos that he rocks on a regular basis. Dress down day for Andrew is not a reward, but it is an opportunity to wear a bow tie.

Mark joined Academics in June 2021 as a senior consultant, bringing 6 years of recruitment experience, 4 of which servicing primary schools with experienced and qualified support staff, teaching assistants, NQT’s and primary teachers.

Mark now covers the London boroughs of Enfield, Barnet and Harrow, and understands the importance of providing an honest and transparent service to his schools and candidates, which has helped to gain trust and confidence alike.

I love to keep busy and active, so in my spare time I enjoy the gym, taking part in various sports and exploring the outdoors if the weather is feeling kind!
