Daniel Wheeler
Daniel is an Associate Director at Academics and the most experienced member of the Secondary Team. He has been working in education recruitment for more than 20 years now and has a built up a strong network of client schools based on trust and performance. Before joining Academics, Daniel was a Regional Branch Manager for another national education recruitment agency. As a former educator, Daniel is very proud of what Academics has been able to achieve since opening in 2003. When he is not in the office, Daniel is a keen DIY’er even though his skill set doesn’t always live up to his passion.
James Wyles
James joined Academics in September 2014 having previously spent three years working in an Ofsted outstanding SEN school. James has been very successful in building solid long lasting relationships with schools and candidates during his time at Academics and prides himself on providing an honest and transparent service. He is responsible for the full recruitment process and specialises in the recruitment of graduate TAs and secondary school teachers. James has a passion for football, boxing, and dogs and in his spare enjoys travelling, going to the gym and socialising with family and friends.
Louis Weber
Louis is a Candidate Resourcer for the Secondary Team at Academics London. He recruits staff for the boroughs of: Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea, Merton, Wandsworth and Westminster. Alongside work, his passions are sports and reading. In particular, he’s a big fan of the UFC and Arsenal — the “best team in the world” (according to Louis).
Sam Baldwinson
Sam is a Senior Secondary Consultant at Academics, covering the London boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Kingston, and Richmond. Before joining Academics, Sam spent nine years in Hospitality Recruitment, where he built a strong foundation in recruitment. He now works closely with London secondary schools to support their long-term, permanent, and supply staffing needs, developing trusted relationships with both schools and education professionals.
Christopher Mikkides
Chris is a Secondary Consultant at Academics London, covering Central London boroughs, including Camden, Islington, Southwark and Lambeth. Chris specialises in recruiting high-quality KS3–KS5 teachers, as well as outstanding graduates for TA and Graduate TA roles, on a day-to-day, long-term and permanent basis, using a relationship-led approach to deliver strong staffing matches.
