The Cardiff office provides supply teachers, teaching assistants and other support staff for day to day supply teaching and support roles, long term supply teaching and support jobs, and permanent placements, in nurseries, schools and colleges in South Wales. Sam joined Academics in 2014 and since opening the Academics Cardiff branch Sam has worked on building a strong team to help schools within South Wales. A sports graduate from Cardiff Met university, Sam went on to work as a PE teacher before taking on a role as a primary consultant. It has now been 9 years of working in Education recruitment for Sam, and his knowledge within the education sector has been enhanced after 4 years as a school governor. Sam is always looking for Teachers and Teaching Assistants for short-term and long-term placements within primary schools in Cardiff, Newport and The Vale of Glamorgan. Sam has consistently been one of the best performers within Academics over the last 4-5 years and during 2018-2019 had more people working than any other consultant within the company.
Outside of work Sam enjoys managing Newport City FC who play in the Welsh League and spending time with his dog who often helps out in the office with the team.
Rhiannon joined Academics in 2015, and is one of the Primary Consultants in the Academics Cardiff office. Before joining the team, Rhiannon worked in the education sector for over 6 years as a Teaching Assistant in schools in Cardiff and also Brighton. Rhiannon has extensive knowledge in primary teacher recruitment and also school classroom support, and works closely with qualified teachers and school support staff in order to find them suitable daily supply teaching, long term or permanent teaching jobs, and classroom support roles in Cardiff the Vale of Glamorgan. As a result of Rhiannon’s professional and friendly personality, she has been able to build strong relationships with her client schools, and just as importantly, with the excellent teachers and teaching assistants she works with. In her spare time Rhiannon loves to holiday, wine & dine whilst spending time with her boyfriend and best friends.

Luke joined Academics in June 2018, after studying BSc Sports Coaching and performance at the University of South Wales, where he obtained a second class honours degree. Before joining Academics Luke spent 2 years working at Eastern High school in their Behaviour support base. Luke now runs the South Wales secondary desk here at Academics, where he supplies client schools with both Long Term and Short Term Teachers, Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor to fulfil their supply and recruitment needs. Sophie joined the Academics team and the recruitment industry in May 2019. Her previous experience of working as a Business Development Consultant and Account Manager has put her in good stead as she is now running one of the primary desks from the Academics Cardiff office. Elle-Marie is the newest member of the team, joining Academics in September 2019 after graduating from Cardiff Metropolitan with a First Classification Honours Degree in Sport and Physical Education. During her under-graduate degree, Elle-Marie was a well-respected Cover Supervisor working across multiple secondary schools in the South Wales Area. Elle-Marie has been able to transfer her knowledge of the industry into positive relationships with candidates and clients. As a Resourcer for both primary and secondary at Academics, Elle-Marie is always on the lookout for exceptional teachers, teaching assistants and cover supervisors to continue to provide quality candidates to clients.
Away from work Elle-Marie enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her family and friends.
