Meet the SEN Agency Team in London and the Home Counties
The Academics SEN team in London supports all SEN specialist schools, units and additional resource bases. We also support specialist SEMH settings, Alternative provisions, Pupil referral units, medical tuition services and the Virtual schools for children looked after throughout London and the Home Counties with their ongoing requirements for long term and short term specialist teaching and Support Staff and their permanent recruitment needs.
Jane Crowley
Jane is a former PE Teacher turned SEN Recruitment Specialist, having spent 10 years in the industry! Jane loves her sports and is intrigued by the therapeutic uses sport can have for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Issues, or students with Physical Disabilities. Jane is a keen cyclist.
Emma Perl
Emma is a Senior SEN Resourcer at Academics, having joined the company in September 2017. Emma’s main role is supporting consultants with advertising, interviewing and skill matching graduates and experienced support staff. Before joining Academics, Emma worked within the beauty industry where she was an assistant spa manager. Emma enjoys meeting new people and building new relationships; in her spare time, she enjoys Pilates, keeping fit, and shopping!
James McVicar
James joined Academics sister company, Servoca Education, as an SEN Resourcer in 2019 before becoming SEN consultant after 6 months. In the time since he has strived to provide the best possible service to candidates and schools, ensuring a smooth process throughout the recruitment process. The son of a Department for Education Policy Advisor and a specialist SEN teacher, James is committed to working with SEN schools in an honest and transparent way.
Outside of work, James enjoys football, Rugby, Cricket and socialising with friends whenever possible.
