Amy Thiselton
Amy joined Academics in September 2015 and developed the business throughout Southampton and Hampshire. Now the Branch Manager, Amy manages the team and specialises in recruiting on behalf of SEN schools and alternative provisions. Through her career, Amy has become a specialist in sourcing quality candidates for specialist schools and has long standing relationships with some of Hampshire’s largest SEN schools. Amy loves wine, good restaurants and spending time with her family.
Billie Johnson
Billie joined Academics in 2011 and has successfully grown and managed the Primary desk, working with the majority of Portsmouth City schools. Billie works part-time and is supported by Jasmine Jervis on her days off where she is a busy mum to two young boys. Billie loves going on holiday, eating chocolate and spending money on expensive bags.
Jasmine Jervis
Jas joined Academics in October 2019. She supports Billie recruiting for Portsmouth Primary Schools and resources for the branch, finding us top class candidates to place into our schools. She is also our Compliance Queen, making sure all of our Teachers and TAs are fully vetted before going out to work. Previously Jasmine has worked for a large international education travel company for 4 years, working with students and sourcing suitable accommodation for them. Jasmine also has a background in musical theatre and enjoys performing arts, music and attending all the festivals.
Luke Knight
Luke joined Academics in June 2024 from a background in educational management.
Luke heads up our Hampshire and Dorset desk, working with secondary schools.
When he is not at work he is watching more sports than you’d think is possible; going to the gym, running or swimming; or taking a more leisurely hike somewhere scenic.
Paige Osman
Paige joined Academics Southampton in June 2025 with six years’ Industrial Recruitment experience behind her. She now looks after the Southampton primary desk, recruiting teachers and support staff to support our local schools.
Paige is a big foodie and loves a rosé on the weekend!
