Academics are seeking an engaging and flexible English Teacher to carry out a full-time contract in an established SEMH School in Portsmouth, starting ASAP. The majority of teaching will be online to students who are not able to currently cope in a classroom setting.
The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and other associated needs.
This is an on-going supply contract so looking for someone who is available and happy to commit long term.
They will consider both primary and secondary trained teachers as they cater for a range of learning levels. You will be required to teach English up to KS4.
Due to the nature of the environment this position is suited to someone who has worked with pupils with challenging behaviour in the past, or someone who is looking to work in a unique setting. Class sizes are smaller than in a mainstream secondary school with a number of support staff on hand in the classroom. You will also be teaching 1:1 online.
