This position is with a reputable secondary school nestled in the heart of Doncaster, committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for their students. They are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team on a full-time temporary supply basis.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the students and class teachers to enhance the learning experience of the students. Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities
* Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help, including students with SEND
* Promoting positive behavior management strategies within the classroom
* Collaborating with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment
* Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and experience within a school setting
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong behavior management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment
* Flexibility and adaptability to navigate various classroom dynamics
* A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
* Desirable: Team Teach and First Aid certification (though not essential)
* Able to travel to Doncaster
