Job Description: SEN Teaching Assistant - College - Uxbridge

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs in their educational journey. Your main responsibilities will include:

* Individualized Support: Providing one-on-one or group support to students with SEN, tailored to their specific needs and learning goals.

* Classroom Assistance: Assisting the class teacher in delivering differentiated instruction, adapting materials, and creating inclusive learning environments.

* Behavioral Support: Implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive behavior, fostering a nurturing and respectful classroom atmosphere.

* Personal Care: Assisting with personal care needs such as toileting, feeding, and mobility, ensuring the students' well-being and comfort.

* Progress Monitoring: Observing and documenting students' progress, identifying areas for improvement, and working closely with the teacher to adjust strategies accordingly.
* Collaboration: Collaborating with other professionals, including therapists, social workers, and parents, to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of different SEN conditions, learning strategies, and behaviour management techniques.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

* Empathy, patience, and resilience to provide consistent support to students facing various challenges.
