Behaviour Support Assistant

If you are based in Bracknell and looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, then read on because this is the role for you!

What the role as a Behaviour Support Assistant entails:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will work at fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the students. You will assist the class teacher with implementing personalised education and behaviour plans.

Your role will also involve you coming in and supporting their students to process their emotions in a healthy way. This will support them and thus reduce their challenging behaviour.

Many of the students at this school have trauma which in turn causes stress, anxiety, depression and other learning difficulties. You will help with ensuring the students feel safe and comfortable while also supporting them through their school work.

Your day to day as a Behaviour Support Assistant:

Your day to day as a Behaviour Support Worker will be busy. You will mostly work alongside the classroom and focus on supporting the students with their academic objectives.

Additionally you will support and reinforce their positive behaviour. You will also help with facilitating a safe and engaging learning environment for students to learn effectively.

The Successful Behaviour Support Assistant:

* You will have some experience working with children
* You will be confident managing behaviour
* You will be passionate about education and helping children with their academic goals
* You must understand the importance of safeguarding
* You will be positive, enthusiastic and proactive
