Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team at a Good Ofsted rated school, conveniently located near Dagenham Heathway station.

Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Location: Near Dagenham Heathway station Contract: Fixed term contract starting ASAP until the end of the academic year Salary: £425+ per week

As an SEN TA, you will have the rewarding role of working 1:1 with a non-verbal Year 1 student with ASC. Your compassion, patience, and dedication will be invaluable in providing personalized support to help this student thrive academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include implementing individualized education plans, facilitating communication through alternative methods, and creating a nurturing learning environment tailored to the student's unique needs.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's life while gaining valuable experience in the field of special education. You will be supported by a collaborative team of educators and provided with ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children with ASC is preferred
* Understanding of various communication strategies and techniques

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential)
