Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Key Responsibilities: As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:

* Assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the SENCo.
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Collaborating with classroom teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Observing and recording student progress, contributing to progress reports and parent-teacher meetings.
* Supporting students in developing essential social and life skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
