A wonderful primary school in South Ockendon, Essex are seeking a full time SEN Teaching Assistant for April or May 2023 start on a long term contract until July 2024 with the view of it continuing into next academic year.

This supportive primary school based in South Ockendon, Essex are looking to increase the capacity of their school support team and are looking for inspiring special educational needs teaching assistants with the correct skills/experience or willingness to work with children with SEN.

This primary school requires someone who has patience and will nurture the children in their care, get to know them and give them consistency.

Support and training will be provided in house and via the local authority. This is a really fantastic opportunity in a school that will equip you with the training and resources to help you flourish and to develop the children you are working with.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will entail working with needs such as:
- ASD (Autism)
- ADHD & Asperges
- Global Delay
- Complex needs
- Downs Syndrome
- SEMH

Experience working with SEN/ ASD would be beneficial.

This primary school are open to meeting with experienced school SEN Teaching Assitants as well as grduates looking for a career working with children.

They are also open to meeting with people who are carers for children or vulnerable adults or people who have working in private nurseries and now looking to work in a school setting. In addition, they are open to meeting with people who hold Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Health & Social care or relevant school based qualifications.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Have SEN experience
* Have school based experience
* Be enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated
* Hold a degree or minimum Level 3 qualification
* Be caring and energetic
* Have a good standard of English & Maths
* Have a willingness to learn
