A friendly school in Reading are on the hunt for a Teaching Assistant!
This a great opportunity for those individuals who are currently busy with their education degrees and who are looking to gain some hands on classroom experience. A bonus!
What the role entails as a Teaching Assistant:
In your role as a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth running of the classroom. You will help prepare lesson materials, help clear up after lessons, supervise during play times, help with general behaviour management and listen to the children read from time to time.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the individual to be exposed to teachers who have all gone through the training – a great source of advice!
The ideal Teaching Assistant:
The ideal teaching assistant will have a fun and enthusiastic attitude and be able to help engage the children. You should be calm and compassionate and be able to adapt your approach to match the needs of the different children. You must understand the importance of safeguarding and have an enhanced DBS certificate. If you do not have one, we can facilitate your application.
Individuals who are looking to embark on a career in education are encouraged to apply. This is also excellent experience for aspiring psychologists, behavioural therapist and art therapists. Graduates will also benefit!
