A Primary school in Wokingham are looking to add a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible or even immediately.
What the role entails as a Teaching Assistant:
* The day to day activities of the successful Teaching Assistant do vary but most of all, you will be supporting the class teacher as well as the students.
* You will be involved of the smooth running of the classroom while also helping the students reach their academic goals.
* You will also help with preparing lesson materials and help with clearing up after lessons.
* You will also have the opportunity to assist those students who are having a difficult time with their school work and need an extra hand.
* You may do this in a 1:1 setting or in small groups. You will be an integral part in these students development.
The successful Teaching Assistant:
* The successful Teaching Assistant will need to be caring, resilient and calm.
* You will also need to be able to adapt your approach to help the various different learners that may need your support, as some students may have personalised educational healthcare plans.
* You should have a passion for education and helping children reach their full potential.
* Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate. If you do not have one – we can support your application.
This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring teachers to gain valuable experience before embarking on teacher training. The school may also offer teacher training to the successful candidate upon completion of a full academic year.
