We are currently busy working with some lovely primary and SEND schools in and around Thurrock who are looking for enthusiastic and lively trainee teaching assistants to join their teams. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant a school will offer you full training and support whilst you work out whether a career in education is for you. Further down the line if you would like to become a teacher, these schools can offer you “on the job” teacher training – so you can gain your Qualified Teacher Status whilst earning.

Degree’s That Could Be Good for Primary or SEND Education Careers:

* Criminology
* Psychology
* Sociology
* English Language, Literature or Creative Writing
* Early Childhood Studies
* Drama / Performing Arts
* Art Or Design

Graduate Teaching Assistant Role:

* You will have the opportunity to work closely with our wonderful children in small groups or on an individual basis, supporting their learning and development.
* Collaborating with our dedicated staff, you will play a crucial role in planning, delivering, and assessing the effectiveness of our curriculum.
* Your ability to adapt activities to cater to different learning styles and individual needs will contribute to the overall progress and attainment of our students.
* Effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues will be essential for building positive relationships and ensuring a supportive learning environment.
