A special school in Knaresborough is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged 3 to 16 years with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome and Complex Medical Needs. They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a full-time, long-term contract from after the February half-term until the end of the academic year.
As a Learning Support Assistant, your roles and responsibilities will be:
* To work alongside the class Teacher with the day-to-day routine of the class.
* To help run exciting lessons and stimulating activities which help to enhance the students learning and sensory skills.
* To build strong rapport with the pupils and support with behaviour management when required.
* You may also be required to support the physically disabled children with personal care.
* To support with behaviour management if required.
