Academics are currently looking to recruit experienced Computer Science Teachers who are now looking to gain supply opportunities within our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Whether this is a long term contract or more day-to-day casual cover work, at Academics we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. This can also be either on full time or part time contracts. Our supply teaching opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work and ideally for ECT's/NQT's these roles could lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.
Computer Science Teachers who apply to our supply opportunities will:
* Have a desirable proven track record of working with students in both Key Stage 3 & 4.
* Be a confident communicator, an excellent motivator, and can build good rapport with students.
* Hold the relevant teaching & computer science qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
* Deliver exciting and engaging computer science lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
Please be aware for long-term assignments you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
