Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) seeking a new challenge in supporting pupils with additional needs in Tower Hamlets? Academics is currently seeking a full-time LSA to join a school in Tower Hamlets on a long-term basis, starting from April 15, 2024, to assist in the learning of a pupil joining Reception.
The ideal LSA will have recent experience working within Tower Hamlets, familiarity with referral processes, and CAMHS. While experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and personal care is preferred, it's not essential.
Situated within walking distance of multiple stations, this thriving and vibrant primary school offers convenient access for commuters. Rated "Good" in its last inspection in 2019, the school provides a supportive environment for both staff and students.
The initial contract for this LSA role offers £80-£90 per day PAYE, with potential for permanent placement subject to funding. Applicants must possess:
* Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Child Workforce DBS (preferably on the update service)
* Two recent school-based references
* Right to work in the UK
