Here at Academics we are seeking a resilient Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team in a fantastic school in Hastings who specialise in Special Educational Needs for children ages 6 to 16. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.

What Does A Typical Day Look Like For A SEN Teaching Assistant?
* Collaborate closely with teachers and pother supporting staff to develop and implement individualized education plans which are tailored to each students specific needs
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils to prompt student engagement and social development
* Assist students with their academic tasks, assignments and keep track of their progress and achievements
* Support students with daily living activities such as personal care and mobility
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN and adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
What Is Required For The Role Of SEN Teaching Assistant?
* A passion for working with children with SEN and a genuine desire to make a difference in their life.
* Patience and adaptability to respond to varying students and changing classroom dynamics
* Provide details for us to complete reference checks prior to employment
* You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
* You will have GCSE grades of A*-C in Math’s and English ( or equivalent )
