Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Contract: Part-time, full-time and supply available

Location: North Birmingham

We are working with a plethora of SEND schools across the North of Birmingham, and are currently searching for Graduates to join these schools as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

This is a great opportunity for you to put thse skills and strategies, that you have spent years learning, into practice, whilst simultaneously aiding children and young people with SEND to adapt and optimise their learning and development.

The role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant is:

* Supporting the class Teacher by aiding students in meeting targets on Individual Education Plans (IEP's)
* Developing trust between yourself and students, enabling you to safeguard them to the best of your ability.
* To observe, report and assess the progress and behaviour of the student's in your care.
* To collaborate with professionals such as Speech and Language therapists, Education/Clinical Psychologists, Nurses etc.
* To keep informed regarding the ever changing strategies used to support learners with SEND needs.

Requirements for the role of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant:

* DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
* A bachelors degree in Psychology
* Empathy, patience and adaptability
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Professional references covering SEND experience
