Teaching Assistant in Bromley

We are in search of a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join our school community. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in offering personalized support to students with PMLD, ensuring they receive the care and assistance necessary for their academic, social, and emotional growth. Personalised care, including assistance with daily tasks such as feeding, toileting, and mobility, will be a fundamental aspect of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing tailored support to students with PMLD in both classroom and extracurricular settings.
* Assisting with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and maintaining personal hygiene.
* Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement individualized learning plans and support strategies.
* Fostering independence and self-confidence among students through encouragement in classroom activities and social interactions.
* Cultivating a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with individuals with PMLD or similar disabilities is preferred but not essential.
* Possessing a compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Willingness to undergo training in manual handling, first aid, and other relevant areas.
* Dedication to upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism at all times.
* Experienced Teaching Assistant.
* Bromley based.
