Geography Teacher – Folkestone

Academics are working alongside an amazing secondary school in Folkestone who are seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join their ambitious and dedicated team. The ideal Geography Teacher for this role is experienced in teaching Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The Geography teacher destined for this role will work closely with the Head of Subject/Department to support the further growth of the department and if needed help support the other Humanities subjects. Geography Teacher – Folkestone

As a Geography Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:

* Spark curiosity and cultivate a love for geography in students of ages 11-18.
* Design engaging lesson plans that bring geography to life through hands-on activities, multimedia resources, and real-world applications.
* Explore diverse cultures, landscapes, and ecosystems, empowering students to become informed global citizens.
* Foster critical thinking, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills through interactive map exercises and geographical inquiry.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Geography, or a related field.
* QTS and/or previous experience in a classroom setting preferred.
* Strong knowledge of world geography, cartography, and geographic information systems (GIS).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
