Job Description:
Our esteemed partnered schools in Romford are seeking dynamic and dedicated Maths Supply Teachers to join on a temporary basis. As a Maths Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education and ensuring that our students receive high-quality instruction in mathematics during periods of staff absence.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering engaging and interactive mathematics lessons to students across various year groups, adhering to the national curriculum and school policies.
* Providing support and guidance to students to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts and techniques.
* Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel motivated to participate and achieve their full potential.
* Managing classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
* Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning within the mathematics department.
* Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and other relevant student data.
* Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Fulfilling any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by the school leadership team.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK national curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
* Effective classroom management skills, with a proactive approach to promoting positive behavior.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust teaching strategies to meet the needs of different classes.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote student progress.
* Commitment to upholding the values and ethos of the school community.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process) and the right to work in the UK.
