A school located in the Pontypridd area are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1-1 support to a KS2 student with additional learning needs.
About the role:
Position: 1-1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
Hours: Mon – Fri (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Location: Pontypridd
Pay: £416.65 per week minimum (increases dependent on experience).
Key Responsibilities as a 1-1 Learning Support Assistant:
* Provide tailored support and assistance to a specific student with additional learning needs.
* Work with the class teacher to implement strategies within the classroom to ensure inclusivity and engagement.
* Monitoring the student’s progress and behaviour and feedback observations to the class teacher.
* Communicate regularly with parents or guardians, providing updates on the students’ progress and addressing any concerns.
* Be proactive in supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom provisions, such as the organisation of learning materials.
* Adhering to school policies and procedures, including confidentiality guidelines and safeguarding protocols.
* Assisting the student with classroom tasks and activities to promote their participation and engagement.
Requirements to be considered:
* Previous experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.
* A relevant qualification (CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is highly desirable.
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, 1-1 support, or Learning Support Assistant.
* Able to commute to Pontypridd, RCT.
