Youth Mental Health Support – Reading

The Opportunity:

* A warm and welcoming school in Reading and looking for a Youth Mental Health Support Worker
* This school pride themselves in facilitating a friendly and safe environment for their students
* The students at this school suffer from mental health difficulties that stem from anxiety and depression and have trouble regulating and processing their emotions

What is involved:

* As a Youth Mental Health Support worker you would be primarily involved in supporting these children with their emotional needs.
* You will be working with these students on a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting
* Supporting the class teacher with general classroom duties
* Helping to manage behaviour in the classroom
* Facilitating a fun and engaging learning environment

What is required:

* The successful Mental Health Support Worker will be an advocate for positive mental health
* As an individual you will be caring and compassionate
* You will be ready to take on a new challenge and make a difference
* Resilient and confident, able to adapt to changing situations easily as the students have varying needs and educational plans
* Experience within mental health is desirable but not essential
* Graduates welcome to apply!
