Experienced ASC Teaching Assistant needed in Southall

Position: ASC Teaching Assistant Location: Southall Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday Contract: Ongoing until minimum end of the academic year

As an ASC Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within the school community. Your experience working with children with SEN will be invaluable as you provide tailored assistance and encouragement to help each child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with ASC.
* Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring they stay focused and actively participate in classroom activities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.
* Collaborate with other members of the SEN team to assess students' progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
* Maintain open communication with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Requirements as an ASC Teaching Assistant in Southall:

* Previous experience working with children with ASC or other SEN is essential.
* A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education or related fields would be advantageous.
