Location: Worksop

Academics Agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Medical Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday.

As a PMLD Medical TA with Academics Agency, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities within educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:

🔹 Assisting students with personal care tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the day. 🔹 Implementing individualized learning plans and providing one-on-one support to students with diverse needs. 🔹 Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. 🔹 Supporting students with sensory and communication needs, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to enhance their learning experience. 🔹 Promoting independence and social inclusion among students, fostering their personal growth and development. 🔹Administering medication according to the specific needs of the pupil

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

🔸 Experience working with individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, preferably within an educational or healthcare setting. 🔸 Understanding of complex medical needs and ability to provide appropriate care and support. 🔸 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach. 🔸 Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, while also demonstrating initiative and adaptability. 🔸 Relevant certifications or training in areas such as First Aid, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding (desirable).
