Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Tutor to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) who is at a low Key Stage 2 level of ability. This position is based within our special educational needs school and involves providing tailored educational support to meet the specific needs of the child.

Responsibilities:

Delivering individualized teaching sessions in accordance with the child's learning plan and objectives.

Implementing strategies to support the child's communication, social interaction, and academic development.

Monitoring and assessing the child's progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.

Collaborating with the school's SEN team and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a coordinated approach.

Providing regular feedback to the child's parents or guardians on their progress and achievements.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a tutoring role, preferably with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Strong understanding of autism and special educational needs, including knowledge of appropriate teaching strategies and interventions.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children with diverse learning needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant qualifications or training in education, special education, or a related field are desirable.
