If you are a SEND Learning Support Assistant who enjoys working with children and young people with communication difficulties, hearing and visual impairments, cognition needs, behavioural needs, complex physical and medical needs, or sensory processing disorders, keep reading to find out how!

Here at Academics, we are currently seeking to appoint multiple enthusiastic, proactive and hard-working Learning Support Assistants who are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The role of learning support assistant involves fully supporting the daily needs of young people to deliver the highest quality of care to those who are in SEN settings across the Doncaster area.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

- Work holistically as part of a team with education staff to plan, practice and collect evidence of progress within the extended curriculum.

- Create a positive environment, reflective of the school’s culture and ethos.

- Work with pupils both individually and in small groups supporting them to overcome barriers to learning, providing positive behaviour support and delivering other focused interventions.

- Uphold School policies to protect and safeguard pupils and vulnerable adults in order to secure their health, safety and wellbeing

- DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
