Outreach Support Worker / Homeschooling Mentor - Portsmouth - ASAP start

Academics have an urgent need for an Outreach Support Worker / Homeschooling Mentor who is available full-time for a minimum of the next 8 weeks to travel between students homes/off-site in the Portsmouth area. You MUST have your own vehicle and a full driving licence. Travel mileage is paid.

You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with students who are not able to attend school so are taught remotely. These pupils are linked with a successful SEMH school in Portsmouth which caters for students from KS2 - KS4 with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The successful Outreach Support Worker / Homeschooling Mentor will have previous experience of working with children, ideally those with SEN or SEMH. If you have worked remotely on a 1:1 basis and enjoy the variety that brings, this role is ideal for you.

You will be encouraging, motivating, empathetic yet firm and be able to support the students with their lessons.

If you have worked as an Outreach Support Worker or Homeschooling Mentor before that would be ideal. Having worked in schools in a supporting role, or in residential as a support worker is essential.

If you are an Outreach Support Worker, Homeschooling Mentor, Teaching Assistant or Support Worker and would like to be considered for this position, please apply by sending us a copy of your updated CV.
