Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Position Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide personalized support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching materials, and providing one-on-one support to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct support to students with SEN in the classroom, helping them to engage with learning activities and develop essential skills.
* Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) to implement effective support strategies and accommodations for students with diverse needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
* Assist with the assessment of student progress and contribute to the development of IEPs and personalized learning goals.
* Provide guidance and support to students during transitions between activities and settings, promoting independence and self-confidence.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not essential.
