Role Overview:

As the Head of Religious Education, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the department's vision and driving academic excellence. You will lead a team of dedicated educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where both students and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the RE department, providing vision, direction, and support to staff members.

Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that engages and challenges students, fostering a deep understanding of religious and ethical issues.

Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within the department, ensuring high standards of teaching practice and student achievement.

Provide guidance and support to colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Collaborate with school leadership to promote the importance of RE within the broader curriculum and school community.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Experience leading a department or a proven track record of leadership potential.

Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the RE curriculum.
