Are you passionate about helping set up young people for success? Are you keen to make a difference while also gaining valuable and rewarding experience?

A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Mental Health Support Assistant in a primary school in Oxford. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The role as a Mental health Support Worker:

* To support students who struggle with their class work
* Encourage positive coping strategies
* Facilitate a fun and friendly learning environment
* To provide support to the class teacher and help with general classroom admin
* To encourage children to do their best
* Help manage, de-escalate and redirect any classroom behaviour
* Listen to the children read and practice their phonics

The successful Mental Health Support Worker:

* A calm and compassionate personality
* Proactive
* Patient
* Passionate about helping children with mental health needs
* You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
* Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
* Must have right to live/work in the UK – we not offer sponsorships
