Do you have experience of supporting adolescents with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs?

Academics are currently looking to recruit experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short term, and long-term support and assistance within our partnership Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Stoke-on-Trent.

Your day will be varied; supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom to manage their own behaviour, engage with tasks set by the class teacher, and reach their potential. You will take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress. You will work on learning activities, promote confidence, and encourage students to act independently to succeed.

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Have vast experience of working with adolescents with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs.
* Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills.
* Have vast experience working with learners with challenging behaviour.
* Promote happiness, self-reliance, and encourage positive interactions.
