Academics, Canterbury are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in Canterbury. This school offers a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, providing exceptional support to pupils with Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Assist with personal care when needed
* Help with learning activities and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans
* Provide encouragement and emotional support to students
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting (experience with Autism is highly desirable)
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special educational needs
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with staff and pupils
* A willingness to learn and grow in the role
* A positive and proactive attitude
