SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Hillingdon
Full-Time – Immediate Start – Ideal for Graduates
Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Focus

A nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Hillingdon is seeking a compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to help support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The pupils face a range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, attachment disorders, and behavioural difficulties. The school is looking for someone empathetic, proactive, and ready to make a real difference in their students’ lives.

The pupils at this school have complex needs, so they need a Learning Support Assistant who is patient, adaptable, and confident in supporting young people with SEMH. Experience with children or vulnerable adults is highly valued. This role is particularly suited to graduates with degrees in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling who are looking to gain practical experience in a rewarding educational setting.

The school prides itself on small class sizes to ensure students receive personalised attention, fostering meaningful connections between staff and pupils. With a strong focus on inclusion and restorative approaches, the school promotes positive behavioural choices through therapeutic and holistic interventions.

Role Details:

* Position: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
* Location: Hillingdon
* Start Date: Immediate
* Pay: £83 - £95 per day (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)
* Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
* Contract: Long-term temporary with potential for permanent placement
* Experience: Preferred but not essential

* Experience supporting young people with SEMH or vulnerable groups (desirable)
* Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling (advantageous)
