SEN Teaching Assistant – Oxford | 1:1 Year 5 Support | ASAP Start

Full-time | £83 - £90 per day (DOE) | Permanent

A supportive Primary School in Oxford is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for Year 5 students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), Dyslexia, and Global Development Delay. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, helping children develop confidence, independence, and essential learning skills.

SEN Teaching Assistant – Oxford | Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 support for Year 5 students with additional learning needs
* Assist with core subjects, ensuring children stay engaged and on track
* Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies
* Support social, emotional, and behavioural development in the classroom
* Adapt learning activities to suit the child's individual needs
* Encourage independence and confidence in learning

SEN Teaching Assistant – Oxford | Candidate Requirements

* Experience supporting SEN children (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, or related needs)
* Level 3 qualification OR relevant degree (preferred but not essential)
* GCSEs in Maths & English (C or above) required
* A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to SEN support
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
