Contract Type: Long Term until July 2025 with the view to go permanent

Full-Time – 5 days per week

Academics are working closely with an outstanding mainstream Secondary school in Colchester, Essex who are looking for a strong and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities who can deliver inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will have thorough subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum developments, good communication skills, and be able to plan and develop appropriate learning activities. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and induction support will be available.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Humanities Teacher in Colchester:

* Collaborate with teaching assistants to facilitate learning and provide additional support as needed.
* Differentiate instruction to ensure all learners can thrive under the guidance of their Humanities Teacher.
* Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
* Utilize creative teaching methods to make learning accessible and enjoyable for students.
* Assessing work and providing feedback on student’s progress
