Individual Needs Assistant

Our esteemed primary school in Haywards Heath is currently searching for a passionate and cheerful Individual Needs Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student requiring extra assistance.

The school is committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential and providing the necessary support for each student to succeed.

As an Individual Needs Assistant, you’ll offer tailored support to the student, helping them stay engaged with their learning, maintain focus, build consistency, and develop coping mechanisms. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to foster a safe and supportive environment for the pupil.

This essential role will play a key part in the student’s development of social skills, emotional regulation, and academic involvement, using personalised interventions within a nurturing atmosphere.
