Academics, Canterbury are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Graduate to join multiple secondary schools across East Kent as a Cover Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is eager to gain valuable experience in the classroom, working with students of various abilities and age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising and supporting students during lesson time in the absence of their regular teacher.
* Ensuring students follow instructions and remain on task.
* Providing guidance and support to students as they complete set work.
* Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Supporting students' learning and development through various activities.
* Reporting any incidents or concerns to relevant staff.
About You:
* A degree in English or a related subject (Essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for education and supporting young people.
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
* A proactive approach to learning and helping students succeed.
* Previous experience working with young people is an advantage but not essential.
