Academics are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a supply basis. This exciting opportunity involves supporting students across the primary school where needed, fostering a nurturing environment that enables all pupils to thrive.

About the Role

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting to their individual requirements.
* Work flexibly across different year groups, building positive relationships with staff and students.
* Assist in developing pupils’ social, emotional, and academic progress.
* Promote a calm and inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Collaborate closely with teachers, SENDCo, and parents to ensure cohesive support.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

* Have prior experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably within a school setting.
* Be proactive, patient, and resilient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
* Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices in supporting SEMH students.
* Be adaptable and reliable, able to respond to the varying needs of the school.
* Be available for full time work
