SEMH Teaching Assistant – High Wycombe

Are you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience in youth work, outreach, residential support, or as a Teaching Assistant? If so, this permanent opportunity could be perfect for you!

An Ofsted-rated Outstanding school in High Wycombe is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from April. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in an educational setting.

The Role:

* Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Implementing tailored interventions to support emotional well-being and academic progress
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
* Managing challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques and a trauma-informed approach

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience in SEMH, youth work, outreach, residential care, or as a Teaching Assistant
* A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Strong behavior management skills
* A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people

This is a full-time, permanent position starting in April.
