Job Title: Aspiring Youth Offending Officer

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £460 - £500 per week

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Aspiring Youth Offending Officer in Luton, where you can gain hands-on experience in the youth justice sector while supporting young people displaying challenging behaviours.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Work closely with young people displaying challenging behaviours, helping them navigate difficulties and reduce the risk of reoffending.
* Support the development and implementation of personalized intervention plans to encourage positive behaviour changes.
* Engage with youth offenders in 1:1 sessions or small group settings, building trust and supporting their rehabilitation.
* Assist in developing essential skills for social integration, responsibility, and making positive lifestyle choices.
* Collaborate with other professionals, including probation officers, social workers, and educators, to provide holistic support to young offenders.

What We’re Looking For:

* A criminology graduate with a passion for youth justice and working with young people facing challenges.
* Experience in a related role is desirable but not essential; we offer full training and support.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
* A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
* Ability to commute to Luton
