We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and skilled individual to join our team as an Autism Support Assistant to support our students on the autism spectrum.

Key Responsibilities of an Autism Support Assistant - Aldershot :

* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
* Implement tailored behavior management strategies to support students in managing challenging behaviors and developing positive coping mechanisms.
* Work closely with the teaching team to deliver individualized learning plans and support students' personal development.
* Provide education and training to students on social interactions, emotional regulation, and life skills.
* Assist in the development and implementation of tailored strategies for students with autism, ensuring their needs are met in all areas of school life.
* Contribute to the wider school community and support extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Requirements of an Autism Support Assistant - Aldershot :

* Previous experience working with children or young people with autism, particularly in a secondary school setting, is highly desirable.
* Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and associated behaviors.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to supporting students through challenging situations.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the individual needs of students.
