I am working with a wonderful secondary school based in St. Albans who require a full time Design Technology Teacher on a full time basis starting September 2025.
Start date: September 2025
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join our Design & Technology Department. Design & Technology is a highly popular option at our school and enjoys a prominent profile throughout the institution. The successful candidate will teach Design Technology at GCSE level and ideally at A-level. They will also teach KS3 on a carousel basis, so the ability to teach all D&T disciplines will be beneficial (the department already has significant expertise in Food Preparation).
Must Have:
* Relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related field
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Design & Technology at GCSE level
* Ability to teach Design & Technology at A-Level
* Proficiency in teaching various D&T disciplines at KS3
* Experience in Food Preparation (beneficial, but not essential)
* Strong classroom management skills
* Commitment to continuing professional development
* Enthusiasm for the subject and the ability to inspire students
